In the video, Story of Stuff, the author engages the audience by using interesting music, graphics and relevance. Music selection is upbeat and entices the audience to listen to the content. Although the graphics are simple, the graphics provide a visual and deepen the understanding of the topic. Leonard provided relevance and posed a wondering question with relevancy.  The education value in Story of Stuff is how Leonardo poses a wonder and how she responds with research in an interesting and different way using technology and tools to make it engaging. The content addressed is material economy geared towards high school students. The ISTE standards addressed are 1.3d Explore Real world Issues, 1.6c Models and Visuals, and 1.6d Customize the message. Although this topic is for high schoolers, possible connections in first grade would be TEK 1. 8B goods and services with choice based on wants and needs. Biography: Hello, My name is Lorena Rubio and married with a beautiful 9 month old baby girl! I am a certified bilingual educator with EC-6 and in my fifth year of teaching. This is my second year in 1st grade as a Dual Language Teacher in Texas but previously taught Bilingual Kindergarten and Pre-kindergarten. My favorite grade level is first grade! When I first started the Dual language program at my current district, I was intimidated by the fact of teaching Spanish learners versus only teaching Spanish speakers as a bilingual teacher at my previous district. The Dual language program used at my campus is the 2-way, meaning the group of students composed of Spanish speakers and Spanish learners.
