In the video, Story of Stuff, the author engages the audience by using interesting music, graphics and relevance. Music selection is upbeat and entices the audience to listen to the content. Although the graphics are simple, the graphics provide a visual and deepen the understanding of the topic. Leonard provided relevance and posed a wondering question with relevancy.
The education value in Story of Stuff is how Leonardo poses a wonder and how she responds with research in an interesting and different way using technology and tools to make it engaging. The content addressed is material economy geared towards high school students. The ISTE standards addressed are 1.3d Explore Real world Issues, 1.6c Models and Visuals, and 1.6d Customize the message. Although this topic is for high schoolers, possible connections in first grade would be TEK 1. 8B goods and services with choice based on wants and needs.
This story has more series to make the story a whole but each is short, simple, and to the point. This story is information and poses questions and thoughts to think about.

Thanks for sharing, Lorena. I liked the story you selected to focus on. The graphics helped me stay engaged and it was nice to see the narrator. Are you planning on adding graphics to your digital story? Will your story be a narrative?
