Week 3- Goal Setting Assignment Goal

I will apply the 3 E’s -Engage, Enhance, Extend learning goals  and the ISTE standards in classroom activities and stations across 1 content area, Math, by the end of the first semester. 

  1. Implement Engage strategies differentiation based on level and/or need

    1. Provide adequate time and multiple ways for students collaborate, whether pairs or in a group

  2. Include at least 2 math learning programs to Enhance the learning

    1. IXL

    2. ST Math 

  3. Extend one activity a week and give opportunity to all the learners to experience and find a solution(s).

    1. Project based 

    2. Real world scenario

    Hey Lorena,
    I like how you married your action steps to the Triple E framework that you selected in your previous blog. I also had the Triple E framework and I love how streamlined it is and it seems to be the easily (IMO) to integrate into our districts evaluation systems. I am not a math guy at all, but I can kind of see how you plan to implement these new areas. Would you be able to expand a bit more on a few of your bullet points so those of us who aren't super familiar with these math resources or areas? Thanks!

    Hi Lorena,

    I appreciate that you provided specific examples of what digital tools you plan to implement to support math. I like that you also plan to allow adequate time and collaboration to further extend student learning. This is important in order to give students opportunities to practice and explore new ways of learning.

Week 1 Blog

Part 1: My name is Lorena Rubio. I am in my 5th year teaching and currently teaching 1st grade Dual Language. I enjoy teaching but have found an interest in technology! I would love to work with more of the aspect of technology within the education field. Super excited to start!
